Indian society is used to living in comparative degrees. The parents never get convinced that their children are superlative. Yes, we are talking about the Education System. Indian society and the education system is revolving totally around the marks and grades the students obtain in their final exams. But that's not what their entire curriculum is all about. It's not about that one D day which decides the future of the kid. Unfortunately, it's been prevalent for ages, this marking system and the educational institutions and the academicians have no other place to go, but to proceed with it.
Keeping all the things in mind, CBSE’s latest announcement has come as a sweet surprise to the students!
CBSE decreases passing mark for 10th boards from 2019
There is a new declaration regarding the overall marks needed to pass the CBSE board exams next year. And, is certain to give students a sigh of relief. The Central Board of Secondary Education has decreased its passing marks for the students of class 10 who will be appearing for board exams in the academic year 2019.
According to the new ruling system, the students are expected to score a minimum of 33 percent in theory and practical assessment papers, combined, in order to pass. There is no need for them to score a minimum of 33 percent separately, it is said. The main idea behind this ruling is aimed at keeping the CBSE board on par with the other State board systems in the country. Due to the diversity in the school education systems, students have found it to be very difficult in taking up common examinations like NEET and so on. There were a lot of tribulations doing rounds when the NEET examination results were out. This is probably why the CBSE board has come up with this new rule.
This will also help in taking the pressure of the students at least a little. They can be less stressed while appearing for the boards next year. With this being said, the students can spend extra time focusing on some other activities of their interest. This new decision has brought happiness not only to students but also to the parents and teachers. They can also worry less now.
