Blueprint Education’s Exam Mate English Assignments for classes 6-8 is divided into four comprehensive sections:
- Section A comprises the Reading Section which consists of two categories of unseen passages. The first category of passages is Factual with Very Short Answer type questions. The answers can be given as a phrase, a clause, a line or a complete sentence. The second category is Discursive in nature with questions which are Short Answer type and Multiple Choice Questions.
- Section B comprises the Writing Section which helps to pen the thoughts down in a diary, write a letter to a friend or pen a story born out of imagination. Rules and formats for writing have been expressed intelligibly and lucidly.
- Section C comprises the Grammar Section which enables learners to comprehend the usage of grammar through exercises. Rules and their applications have been elaborated for each topic. A variety of exercises strengthens the usage of grammar.
- Section D comprises the Listening and Speaking Section. Listening tasks are designed to teach strategies for listening and also to assess listening skills. The tasks may be in the form of announcements, advertisements, interviews, speeches, talk shows, narrations, poems, etc. Speaking tasks encourage communicative competence, usage of appropriate vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation in a given social situation. Speaking skill is enhanced through role-plays, interviews, dialogues, extempore speeches, storytelling, debates, etc.
- Assessment through Half-Yearly and Yearly Test Papers and Periodic Test Papers provide ample exposure to assess the understanding of learners. These conform to the latest CBSE guidelines.
