Description

Blueprint’s Our Green Earth, a series for classes 1 to 5, is an endeavour to create awareness amongst tomorrow’s leaders who need to take care of the future they will inherit. The entire series adheres to the new National Education Policy 2020 and focuses on effective and productive learning It is based on Dr Howard Gardener’s theory of Multiple Intelligences.

• My Green Earth is a warm-up activity that introduces a concept to the learner.
• The Green Belt introduces the concepts of the lesson with well-defined explanations, followed by examples to elucidate.
• The Green Warriors includes activities that enhance the understanding capacity of the learners.
• My Green Exercise is integrated with questions and activities to help relate and understand the concepts learnt.
• Melting Ice is an additional information imparted to enhance a learner’s knowledge.
• The Green R is a recapitulation of the important concepts in the lesson.
• My Word Power gives meanings of difficult words to help improve the vocabulary of the learners.
• Elder Talk acts as advice or a piece of useful information for the learners.
• HOTS includes analytical questions to test the logical ability of the learner.
• My Green Forest is a life skill development activity.
• Teacher’s Note is an essential teaching tip for the facilitators.

Additional Components in Books 3-5

• Green Revolution is project work that will enable the learners to creatively launch the concepts taught.
• Eco Links are weblinks that will help learners in research and project work.
• Eco Warriors are three case studies in each book that define the contribution of people, from different walks of life, toward the environment.
